Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Kimora Preggers? Bottle Hits Pitbull! Timbaland ...
Damn! What is the hell is going on? I heard about 2,500 people packed club PLANETA in San Antonio, TX to see the one and only Pitbull. After the rapper gets about two songs into his concert, a bottle zips out from the crowd and busts Pitbull on the side of the head! The bottle didn't crack, but it did break the skin and Pitbull bled. A nurse taped him up and he kept performing for one song. There would be no full concert due to the bleeding. He was eventually taken away by the paramedics to get eight staples in his head. Pitbull told the crowd that said his fans pay his bills and he wasn't going let one hater spoil it for them. I heard roughly 80% of those I attendance were females. Foul! See the ignorant video below. REMY MA CLASHES WITH DIRECTOR? Remy Ma has been relatively low-key.
Stocks reverse losses to finish higher
Stocks began the day lower amid concern about a rise in consumer prices and lackluster readings on home construction. But observers said the economic figures ultimately didn't prove all that surprising given a recent run-up in oil prices and the well-documented woes of the housing sector. Investors had already begun to check some of their concerns when minutes from the Fed's meetings last month indicated the central bank didn't seem to be extremely worried about inflation. The apparent lack of urgent concern that lower interest rates would foment a rise in prices was perhaps welcome given the latest readings on consumer prices and the rise in oil. The absence of big surprises from the Fed minutes underscored the notion that policymakers will first address the flagging economy and turn later to inflation.
Euroshares open lower on Wall St losses overnight; BP outperforms ...
(Updating with full report) LONDON, Feb. 5, 2008 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) -- Leading European shares fell in opening trade following overnight losses on Wall Street, but BP (TSX:BP'U) outperformed after a raised dividend from the oil and gas giant helped temper disappointment over its fourth-quarter profits. At 9.00 am, the Dow Jones STOXX (OOTC:DJSFF) 50 Index was down 15.67 points, or 0.5 pct at 3,284.68 while the DJ STOXX 600 Index fell 1.88 points, or 0.6 pct to 327.26. 'We galloped off at the races last week and had a substantial rally, but the market is still very concerned about the credit crisis,' said David Buik, a partner at BGC Partners. (NASDAQ:BGCP) BP bucked the downtrend in early trading, up 2 pct as a higher-than-expected dividend payout from the UK oil and gas giant helped temper disappointment over fourth-quarter profits that failed to live up to expectations.
